The 100 Hands (search #100Hands on Instagram) is an innovative installation commissioned by the museum as part of Tattoo: British Tattoo Art Revealed.
Curated by Alice Snape of Things and Ink magazine it literally brings the art off the gallery wall to create a sculptural map of British tattoo art today. The installation is based around 100 silicone arms with an original design by leading tattoo artists across the UK.
The quality and diversity of this work is astonishing and we want to thank all contributing artists for their incredible work.
This illustration is a throwback to the planning stages over 6 months ago, and now it has come to fruition and we are days away from opening to the public, this Friday 17 March.
