Nowhere in Cornwall is more than 17 miles from the sea. This proximity has shaped both the landscape and its people.

How has it shaped your life?

Share your stories, personal connections and memories of the sea in Cornwall with us and we’ll compile highlights into an online gallery, interactive display in the museum and our annual journal.

This month’s prize:

This month’s prize for our favourite post in our #CornwallTheSeaandMe community social media engagement campaign is an amazing BBQ for four people at the wonderful Rosevine Hotel on the Roseland Peninsula.

Located on the Roseland Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the South Coast, and close to St Mawes and Truro, The Rosevine is a relaxed and friendly seaside bolthole with an onsite Michelin Guide restaurant with landscaped lawns overlooking the sea, perfect for enjoying a BBQ with the family in the sunshine.  This year’s Summer BBQ’s will be held every Wednesday evening from 5pm – 7.30pm and is open to both residents and non – residents. All dietary requirements can be catered for.

Some of the fantastic prizes on offer so far from our brilliant partners…
