Volunteers are key to the running of the Museum
Become a highly valued member of the team
We are extremely grateful for the support from our volunteers whose time and effort have contributed so much to the Museum and our visitors.
Volunteering can be a great way to build your skills and confidence, make new friends and meet like-minded people through a volunteer role.
Why volunteer for us?
Volunteering at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall is a great way to develop your skills while supporting us and enhancing the experience of our visitors.
Our current volunteers enjoy free entry for them and a guest to the Museum, discount in our Cafe and shop, reimbursement of travel expenses between home and the Museum, and free parking when carrying out volunteering duties.
Do you have some free time and enjoy helping people? If so, you might like to apply to become part of our dedicated team of volunteers.
Interested in joining our crew?
Unfortunately, due to the situation with Covid-19, we have not been in a position to recruit new volunteers since the start of the pandemic. We hope from January 2021 we can once again welcome new volunteers to join our crew, particularly those interested in our Visitor Experience Volunteer role:
In the meantime, stay safe and if you have any queries with regards to volunteering, do not hesitate to contact Linda Frost, Human Resources Manager.
