Leave Monsters of the Deep behind and venture along the twisting slope to Viktor Wynd’s UnNatural History Museum. Here myths and magic create a space where ideas of what is true and real blur, and the unusual and strange are there to be seen.
A note from Viktor Wynd:
“Welcome to the inside of my mind, a place peopled by unicorns, fairies, giants, mermaids, myths, legends and dreams. A voyage to see the monsters that live in the depths of my subconscious, from a two headed kitten and a two headed teddy bear to a selkie’s foot, a baby’s caul and a magical jar of moles. Come in, enjoy and exit through The Egress”
Viktor Wynd is a ‘pataphysical’ artist who uses museum objects in the way that other artists use tubes of paint. He’s founder and proprietor, since 2009, of London’s famous and eponymous Museum of Curiosities, Fine Art & UnNatural History and Chancellor of The Last Tuesday Society.
The UnNatural History Museum is part of National Maritime Museum Cornwall’s Monsters of the Deep exhibition.
