Visit the Museum out of hours for Halloween if you dare! Ghoulishly good fun awaits – keep your eyes peeled for tricks and treats along the way…
Halloween activities at National Maritime Museum Cornwall are FREE as part of the Museum’s annual admission fee, pay once and get in free for a year.
Gather round for mythical Cornish tales told by our ghostly Fisherwoman at 4.30pm and 5.30pm. Her tall tales will feature singing and music and are sure to send a shiver down your spine!

Trick or treat
Create your own bag then explore our galleries, what sweet treats will you find? Beware of tricks along the way!
Potion making
Join our coven of sea witches to stir up some spells and mix up a potion!
A pinch of seaweed, a splash of light, swirly seashells glowing bright, what magic will you create?
4pm – 6.30pm
The waves go whoosh and the sea winds howl, but something deeper starts to growl…
Explore the Museum and discover our Morgawr sea monster sensory trail, will you find all the stamps? Look for clues, listen to the waves and if you dare, feel Morgawr’s scaly back!
Explore 15 galleries over five floors, jump aboard boats, climb the 100-foot Lookout Tower, go underwater in the Tidal Zone, uncover ocean adventures and survival stories and sail miniature boats on the Boat Pool. Plus, have fun in Skull Island Play Zone and learn about Cornish maritime history in our Cornwall galleries.
