What curious creatures will you find with The Rock Pool Project in their mobile rock pool?
Each day there will be a chance to learn and uncover more about the sea life in our Cornish waters, including the best ways to explore rock pools and identify the creatures you discover.
The team from The Rock Pool Project will be here from 10am -4.30pm every day throughout the holidays.
Make & TakeEvery day, 12.30pm to 3.30pm (last entry 3.15pm)
Dive into the magic of the shoreline with our Rockpool Make & Take Craft session!
Blend, layer, and bring the seaside scene to life by adding water to transform your watercolour pencil drawings, then experiment with salt techniques to create organic textures and capture the sparkle and mystery of rockpools.
These sessions are all about creativity, exploration, and a splash of artistic fun for families.
Museum TrailEvery day, 10am – 5pm.
Set off on a seaside adventure through the Museum with our Rockpool Trail!
Pick up your very own rockpool template and explore the galleries in search of hidden stamps. Each trail stop reveals something new, to build your rockpool scene as you go along.
From curious sea life to coastal treasures, every stamp helps bring your underwater world to life. Can you find them all and fill your rockpool?
Explore 15 galleries over five floors, jump aboard boats, climb the 100-foot Lookout Tower, go underwater in the Tidal Zone, uncover ocean adventures and survival stories and sail miniature boats on the Waterfront Boat Pool. Plus, have fun in Skull Island Play Zone and learn about Cornish maritime history in our Cornwall galleries.
The May half term activities are FREE as part of the Museum’s annual admission fee. Pay once, free for a year.
