The Trafalgar Way featuring The Salts

Black and white image of five men sat at a wooden table, smiling at the camera. Two wear caps, one wears a bandana. Two are holding guitars. A large bottle sits on the table in front of them.

On Friday 3 November, folk group The Salts begin their national tour. Following The Trafalgar Way they’ll start in Falmouth and finish in London.

The Trafalgar Way is the name given to the historic route used to carry dispatches with the news of the Battle of Trafalgar overland from Falmouth to the Admiralty in London. The first message in November 1805 was carried by John Richards Lapenotiere of HMS Pickle. He docked in Falmouth and raced to London with the news of the victory in the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of Lord Nelson. The Salts will follow this same route, stopping at the plaques to play concerts along the way.
