Something magical happens when ocean culture meets mindful movement – and on Friday 3 October, we’re bringing that magic to life in an unforgettable evening of Silent Disco Yoga, led by Alicia Ray Wellbeing and Rich Lacey of Gwithian Beach Yoga.
Picture this: You’re flowing through sun salutations surrounded by a maritime collections, wireless headphones delivering the perfect soundtrack straight to your ears, and the golden hour light streaming across Falmouth harbour. It’s yoga, but not as you know it.
Your Evening Unfolds
From 5:30pm, you’ll have exclusive after-hours access to our acclaimed SURF! exhibition – a deep dive into 100 years of waveriding culture in Cornwall. Wander through the stories, boards, and imagery that shaped our coastal identity before rolling out your mat for the main event.
At 6:30pm, Alicia Ray of Gwithian Beach Yoga takes the helm for a 75-minute ocean-inspired Vinyasa flow. Through your headphones, you’ll hear her guidance mixed with carefully curated soundscapes that mirror the energy of the ocean.
All Are Welcome
Never done yoga before? Perfect. Been practicing for years? Equally perfect. Alicia’s teaching style invites everyone to adapt movements to suit your body on the day. The extended savasana at the end ensures you float out as relaxed as a calm sea.
