Discover the Museum at Twilight for £10: Introducing Our New Twilight Tickets

We’re delighted to introduce our new Twilight Tickets, offering visitors the perfect opportunity to explore the National Maritime Museum Cornwall at a special discounted rate from 3pm-5pm. 

What Are Twilight Tickets? 

Our Twilight Tickets provide a one-day entry valid from 3pm until closing time, giving you a way to enjoy the museum for a one-off visit during quieter afternoon hours. Twilight Tickets offer excellent value for a focused museum experience if you’re short on time, or looking for quick things to do in Falmouth.

Making the Most of Your Twilight Visit: 

With entry from 3pm, you’ll still have time to discover some of the museum’s most compelling stories in an afternoon. Here’s how to make the most of your Twilight Ticket: 

Chance to start with a ‘brew with a view’ (before 4pm)
Begin your visit in our café with a cup of tea while admiring the stunning harbour views. It’s the perfect way to ease into your museum experience before the café closes at 4pm. 

Get Hands-On at the Boat Pool (before 4.30pm)
Head to the Boat Pool while there’s still time. This interactive space is a favourite with visitors of all ages and usually closes at 4:30pm, so don’t miss out. 

Discover 3 of Our Highlight Stories

Give yourself time to explore some of the museum’s most remarkable maritime tales: 

• Ednamair (Boat Hall): An epic story of the Roberton’s family survival at sea  

• Cornish Quayside and the Pilchard Industry (Ground Floor): Discover Cornwall’s fishing heritage and the industry that shaped our coastline 

• The St Nazaire Raid (Level 1): Learn about one of the most daring operations of World War 2 and Falmouth’s leading role.

Explore 3 of Our Highlight Spaces

• Tidal Zone (Level -2): Descend below sea level at high tide and find an underwater view of Falmouth Harbour’s marine life.

• Lookout Tower (Level 3): Climb to the top of the tower for breathtaking views and to find out about the historic buildings, local landmarks coastal features of Falmouth harbour.

• Boatbuilding Workshop (Ground Floor): Stop by the workshop to see progress on the latest boatbuilding project – you might even spot the team at work!

Or, pop in to see our latest major exhibition SURF!  

With almost 300 objects to see, you’ll have just enough time to experience SURF! on a Twilight Ticket – don’t miss the Damien Hirst Butterfly Board and be sure to walk under The Great Wave of Anthropocene by artist Abigail Fallis before ending in the Blue Mindfulness Zone, to chill out before you head off on your next Falmouth adventure. 

Important Information 

Twilight Tickets are valid for one entry only on your specified date, with admission from 3pm until closing time (please check our opening times for details). Please note that admission will not be granted before 3pm. As these are already discounted tickets, no additional discounts or concessions can be applied. Unlike our standard admission, Twilight Tickets are single-entry tickets.  

You can book your Twilight Ticket online in advance or purchase it at our admissions desk on the day of your visit. Please be aware that Twilight Tickets are not valid for some special events, including evening and third-party organised events. 

Enjoyed Your Visit? Upgrade to an Annual Pass

If you want to return, you can upgrade to a Standard Admission which gives you an Annual Pass for free return visits, on the day. The cost of your Twilight Ticket will be deducted from the Annual Pass price.
