Deep Blue Silent Disco Yoga Returns to Falmouth this Autumn

As the nights draw in and the season turns, this October we’ll be hosting Deep Blue Silent Disco Yoga here at National Maritime Museum Cornwall. The event returns for a third time, bringing warmth, light and ocean energy into the Museum just as the Cornish air turns crisp outside.

Led once again by Alicia Ray Wellbeing and Rich Lacey, founders of Gwithian Beach Yoga and Sonic Flow Yoga, this after-dark session on Friday 16 October will pair mindful movement with immersive sound, set against the backdrop of the Museum’s Boat Hall and Cornwall’s waveriding story in SURF!.

Doors open at 6.00pm with exclusive after-hours access to our acclaimed SURF! exhibition where you can explore a century of Cornish waveriding history before the main event begins.

At 6:30pm, find your spot and settle in as Alicia Ray takes the helm for a 75-minute ocean-inspired Vinyasa flow, starting at 7.00pm. Slip on your headphones and let her guidance blend with a soundscape built to echo the rhythm and pull of the sea, bringing a bright, summery energy into the heart of an autumn evening.

New to yoga? No problem. Alicia’s approach is all about adapting each movement to suit your body on the day, so however experienced you are, you’re welcome. A generous relaxation at the close of the session sends you home as calm and settled as a still sea.
