Ways to save at National Maritime Museum Cornwall 

Pay once and get in free for a year with Annual Pass

At National Maritime Museum Cornwall under-5s go free, and we offer a Children’s ticket for 5-17 year olds. Children & Adult standard museum admission tickets get you an annual pass, meaning you can return as often as you like throughout the year to make the most of your ticket. If you visit once a season your average visit cost will be less than £5!

Family Favourites Included in your Ticket Price

Favourite year-round activities for families include looking below sea level in the natural underwater platform of the Tidal Zone. Head up to the Lookout Tower to learn about the comings and goings of Falmouth harbour – you’ll never look at the boats the same way again. The Skull Island Play Zone is soft play fun for little ones (especially great for rainy days!) and the RNLI Rescue Zone offers some hands-on (and climb-on!) learning about maritime safety, all included in your admission. 

For a quieter visit, our Bartlett Maritime Research Centre and Library is a treasure trove of free resources and expertise if you’re looking for answers to your Falmouth Maritime Heritage questions!

Don’t forget that café access is included in your admission price, or during holidays, Museum visitors can use the designated picnic area to enjoy your own packed lunch with harbour views.

We offer a 10% discount on our standard Museum Admission fee to Blue Light Card, HM Armed Forces ID Card & HM Armed Forcers Veteran Card cardholders. Please note this discount applies to cardholder admission only and does not apply to Twilight Tickets.

Discounted Twilight Tickets

If a year of adventures isn’t for you, and you’re looking for an affordable way to dip your toe into Museum fun, a Twilight Ticket gives you a one-off entry between 3pm-5pm for only £10 for adults and £5 for children.

Plan your Visit in Advance for Savings

Book your visit online in advance and you can save 10% on Adult & Child Standard Admissions, so the adventures you have with your annual pass can work out even cheaper!

Falmouth always has a vibrant cultural scene to experience, and the award-winning Falmouth Art Gallery offers free admission.

The Poly regularly hosts free art exhibitions that showcase contemporary Cornwall-based creatives and there are plenty of other galleries selling artwork that welcome browsers without the pressure to buy – a great way to soak up some creative inspiration and learn more about Cornwall’s art scene.

If you’re an English Heritage member, Pendennis Castle provides free access to one of Cornwall’s impressive fortifications, complete with panoramic views over the harbour and beyond.

Outdoor Adventures Can Cost Nothing

The town boasts several public gardens and parks that offer peaceful retreats. Gyllyngdune Gardens features a shell grotto which leads to the Princess Pavilion, perfect for a stroll. Queen Mary Gardens next to Gyllyngvase Beach, offers manicured lawns and flowerbeds with coastal views. In Fox Rosehill Gardens, you’ll find amazing plant specimens while Kimberley Park in the town centre provides a fun children’s play area.

The beaches around Falmouth can always be enjoyed for free, whether you prefer the popular Gyllyngvase Beach and Swanpool Beach or want to discover quieter coves like Nansidwell.
