You may not be aware but we’re an independent museum and registered charity and your entry fee supports the work of the Museum including our education programmes.

Pay once, get in free for a year!
On paying the full admission fee you will receive an Annual Pass which allows you to return as many times as you wish for the following 12 months. Many people only visit us once in a year but through Gift Aid, offering annual passes in this way allows us to treat your ticket fee as a donation and therefore increases funding for our charitable work. Please note, our Twilight Ticket is valid from 3pm for one visit only and does not grant visitors an Annual Pass.

You will also be offered the opportunity to Gift Aid your entrance fee. Gift Aid is a simple way to increase the value of your entrance fee to the charity – at no extra cost to you. If you pay tax in the UK, we can reclaim the basic rate tax on your entrance fee, giving the Museum an additional 25% towards our charitable work.
Admission
All children (under 16) must be accompanied by an adult.
Companions who are required to assist disabled visitors are admitted free of charge, proof of carer status will be required.
We offer a 10% admission discount to Blue Light Card, HM Armed Forces ID Card & HM Armed Forcers Veteran Card cardholders. Please note this discount applies to cardholder admission only.
Annual Pass – terms and conditions
- Valid for 12 months from the date of first visit (if a ticket is purchased on 1 Jan it is valid until 31 Dec).
- Tickets are non-transferable and must be validated by your signature.
- We reserve the right to request another proof of identity when re-visiting using the Annual Pass.
- Return visits are subject to normal opening dates and times.
- Possession of an Annual Pass does not guarantee entry to the Museum.
- Group admission tickets and some promotional offers are valid for single day entry only.
- Annual Pass tickets are not valid for entry to some events, including evening and third-party organised events.
- Annual Passes will not be extended to cover the closure of galleries, or the entire Museum building, which the Museum reserves the right to do at any time to allow for maintenance and exhibition changes.
Twilight Tickets – terms and conditions
- Valid for entry from 3pm until the Museum closes. See opening times.
- Valid for one entry only on the specified date.
- Twilight Ticket holders will not be granted admission before 3pm.
- Twilight Tickets can be booked online in advance or at the admissions desk on day of visit.
- No additional discounts or concessions are available with Twilight Tickets.
- Twilight Tickets are not annual passes but can be upgraded, on the day of visit only, to an Annual Pass. If upgrading, the cost of your Twilight Ticket will be deducted from Annual Pass ticket cost.
- Twilight Tickets are non-transferable; proof of ID may be required.
- Twilight Tickets are not valid for entry to some events, including evening and third-party organised events.
- Possession of a Twilight Ticket does not guarantee entry to the Museum.
