Treasured Maps – POSTPONED
Thursday 7 May , 3.30pm & 7pm
Explore some of Cornwall’s most beautiful and historic maps. Starting with the Elerky estate atlas – available to view in the exhibition – archivist David Thomas will take you through some of the map highlights from Kresen Kernow’s collections. Featuring maps with dazzling details, intricate calligraphy and amusing features, this promises to be a visual feast.

Maps, Globes & Monsters – POSTPONED

Why are there sea monsters in the stars? We are joined by curator and historian Dr Megan Barford as we dive into the world of globes atlases and maps. Discover the symbolism and mythology of the sea and sky and how they informed and influenced the early modern map.
