The bicentenary of the wreck of the Queen Transport, in Falmouth Harbour, in 1814, is fast approaching. With great loss of life, it was a particularly distressing local event, which became a wider symbol of maritime tragedy. This paper seeks to commemorate those involved in the disaster, by summarising and collating the various sources of information, and placing them in context within the wider studies of shipping history.
