The Cornish Caretakers and the Treasures of Cornishness

The Easter show at National Maritime Museum Cornwall.

Shows every day at 11.00am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm.

Performances run for around 25 minutes.

The Cornish Caretakers are the spikey Mrs Trevaskis Trelawney Tremayne and the hapless (but passionate about Cornish history) Mr Rodda Rowe Rescorla. Together, in their own unique way, it’s their job to look after and promote the history of Cornwall to children and their families from all over the world.

The Cornish Caretakers return to the Museum in 2025 for the SURF! exhibition, with another chest of Cornish magic brought up from the depths of the archives.

The popular duo will uncover all kinds of Cornish treasures including a very special Cornish animal,  Cornwall’s largest natural habitat (you’ll never guess what it is!) and inspiring men and women like Michael Joseph An Gof, Mary Kelynack and more.

There are lots of questions to be answered in the show-
Will you find it funny? YES.
Will you find it educational? YES!
Will Mr Rodda Rowe Rescorla irritate Mrs Trevaskis Trelwaney Tremayne? ABSOLUTELY! Can you join in? YES!
And there is of course the BIG question….
Will one of the Caretakers surf an enormous wave on Newquay’s Cribbar Reef in the show? Come along and find out!

The Cornish Caretakers and the Treasures of Cornishness stars Edward Rowe (Cornwall’s Kernow King!), Mimi Attenburrow and Gareth Cooper.
