Maps, Globes & Monsters – Lecture

Why are there sea monsters in the stars? Looking at 16th and 17th century globes and atlases, curator and historian Dr Megan Barford will explore the mythology and symbolism of both ocean and sky and how and why these were incorporated into early maps.
