February Half Term
Join us this February half term for Science of the Sea – family fun with a BANG! Live shows, Make and Takes and a bubble Museum trail.
Saturday 22 February
After exploring the sea man turned his attention to the sky. Join us as we discover how via a special Museum trail how scientists, astronomers and Captain Cook all embarked on a mission to answer the question, how big is the Universe?
The beautiful song from the ocean’s brightest pearl rolls on the waves and laps on the tide. Her tail shimmers in the sun as she dives and dances with her friend’s deep below the sea’s surface.
Every Thursday During Term Time
Explorer caps and backpacks on and magnifying glasses at the ready, we’re going on an adventure. Minnows Explorers is National Maritime Museum Cornwall’s grandparent and grandchildren activity sessions and is all about creating, making and exploring together.
Weekly storytelling and sing-a-long Every Monday during term time at 11 o’clock! Drop in for a lively half hour of stories, songs and rhymes. Minnows Tales is free with your museum entry ticket. Term time only.
Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 May
Get water wise with the RNLI as they take over the Museum for Water Safety Weekend! With awesome demonstrations and games, learn the techniques that can help keep you safe in the water and discover more about the RNLI’s important work.
May Half Term
Discover the Mini Monsters of the not so Deep as we team up with the Rock Pool Project. Each day there’ll be a chance to learn, touch and uncover more about the sea life in our Cornish waters.
