Home Education Days

Home Education Days are pre-bookable sessions specifically for home educating families. Led by our Formal Learning Manager, we offer two dates each term, a Key Stage 1 day and a Key Stage 2 day.

The Home Education Day runs 10am – 2pm and will include a 90-minute hands-on facilitated workshop (morning or afternoon) and a 90-minute self-directed explore of the Museum. Each session has a maximum capacity of 25 children.

Cost

£6.95 per child, accompanying adults are free of charge.

We restrict the number of accompanying adults to 1 x adult per family; additional adults will need to purchase admission at the standard rate and won’t be able to join the workshop itself.

Please note, this charge covers access to the workshop and the Museum for the day.

Confirmation Email

Once tickets have been purchased, you will receive a confirmation email with further details about the visit. Additional documents (timetable, general risk assessment information, health and safety information) will be emailed to you when your booking is confirmed.

KS1 Wreck and Rescue

KS1 Pirates: Fact and Fiction

Wednesday 29 April, 10am – 2pm

This exciting workshop focusses on the common myths and misconceptions about pirates and uncovers some of the truths behind them.

FAQs

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than three weeks in advance will be fully refunded. After this time, no refunds will be given. To organise a refund, please contact us at enquiries@nmmc.co.uk.

Is there a waiting list?

For sessions that are fully subscribed, we will operate a waiting list. If a session is showing as fully booked and you would like to be added to the waiting list, please email sethhall@nmmc.co.uk and we will contact you should a space be made available.

Can more than one adult join the session?

Due to room capacity, we ask that adult numbers are limited to ONE adult per family group. Any additional adults are welcome to attend the Museum, but they must purchase an Admission and won’t be able to join the workshop itself.
