As part of Kids in Museums Takeover Day, we’re asking toddlers to help us manage the Museum!

Do you dare step foot on Skull Island? Become a pirate for the day and hoist the Jolly Roger to stake your claim. Climb the island fort and captain the crew from the quarterdeck whilst keeping watch for mischievous intruders.

Sunday 8 October, 11.30am

Castles, crows, and rowing boats. Mermaids, dragons and tiny islands surrounded by the sea… Arthur’s Club, a place where everyone is welcome, a place where stories come alive.

Join in with the eerie shadow pirate puppet stories and songs in the Main Hall, create your own shadow puppets in Make & Take and join the Museum trail and find all the hidden pirate ghosts.

Get creative with your little one in Minnows Makes, craft sessions designed for under 5s. Join us to make something different each month using our most colourful and vibrant art supplies.

Every Monday during term time.

A weekly storytelling and lively sing-a-long session. Minnows Tales starts at 11am and is perfect for under 5s.

With a packed programme of events and things to do this summer, we’re the coolest place to be for families! Grab all the gang and set sail for fun.

We’re heading shore side this may half term with the Rock Pool Project where we’ll be looking for Mini Monsters of the Not So Deep on our local beaches.
