Lanterns and Lights 2020

On the left, text reads 'Lanterns & Lights'. On the right is the outline of a boat lit up in lights, with the sail made to look like a Christmas tree.

Photo looking up at the boats suspended from the ceiling of the Museum's Boat Hall, draped in warm lights.

Decked in festive lights and sparkly stars, traditional wooden boats carry Christmas cheer. Using the Flying Flotilla, hung high from the Museum’s ceiling, the boats are lit with subtle ocean coloured hues and set amongst glistening star bursts.

Late night opening – Mon 21 Dec

As the sun dips below the horizon and day turns to dusk visit the Museum to fully appreciate Lanterns and Lights. There will be lots of festive cheer with carol from the Trengilly Singers too. We will remain open until 8pm with last entry at 6.30pm. Booking is essential.
