From Thursday 5 November National Maritime Museum Cornwall will be temporarily closed and Monsters of the Deep will go back into hibernation. We will reopen as soon as we are able to.

At the entrance to Monsters of the Deep a huge eye keeps watch. It was designed and created by A-Side Studio and Engine House Animation Studio – find out more about the process.
This beautiful little chest, or Victorian writing slope, belonged to one of Falmouth’s ship and boat owners, Captain Albert Edward Benney.
At National Maritime Museum Cornwall we protect and celebrate our past and act as custodians of our shared maritime heritage. But we also explore our future – the future of our oceans, coastal communities and the maritime world.
